The first Australian dietary guidelines were launched in 1982, recommending a low fat diet for everyone. There was however NO EVIDENCE to support this blanket approach.  The mainstream approach to dieting has been centred around two core principles: ‘fat is bad’ and ‘count your calories’. Since the introduction of this advice the proportion of Australians who are obese has more than tripled and in 2017 more than 66% of Australians were overweight or obese.

Programme breakdown

X-PERT Weight is a 12 week program, offered via structured group sessions. Over the course of the program you will receive a 200-page Resource Folder packed full of nutrition and health information, support tools, tips, practical suggestions, recipes, food diary templates and much much more. Sessions are delivered using digital technology to support interactive discovery learning to help you understand the science that explains why traditional weight loss approaches have failed and what you can do to lose weight and keep it off!
